Common Surgeries Performed at Del Norte Animal Hospital
At the Del Norte Animal Hospital, there are a few common procedures that we perform. Some of our most common operations include:
Mass Removals: Mass removals are incredibly common in our office. We know that many people associate mass removals with cancer. This isn't always the case. Sometimes, we cannot tell if a tumor is cancerous or not until we remove it. We will be with you every step of the way.
Cystostomy: In this procedure, a hole is placed in the top of the bladder directly through the skin. This is typically done when a pet is retaining urine and it cannot exit the urethra. This is usually done because there is a blockage int he urethra that prevents normal voiding.
Abdominal Surgery: Our scope of abdominal surgeries is wide. Sometimes, we do abdominal surgery to remove an abscess that might be present in the belly. In other cases, there might be a foreign body that needs to be removed. Still, other pets might have a hole in their intestines that must be addressed.
Spay and Neutering Services: Of course, we also provide spay and neuter services to our pets. It is important to control the animal population and ensure that every pet has a happy and healthy home. Trust us to take care of your pet's surgery needs.
